Ginnie is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who brings to her work a wide breadth of educational & training perspectives to optimize the personal growth and life enhancement of her clients. She is currently in a private practice in Glen Rock, NJ.
She has over 10 years of experience in individual, couples and family therapy. She conducts Workshops, and does public speaking on topics of Personal Growth, Relationships, Sprituality, and Motivation. She has been published in both professional journals as well as in popular periodicals, and has recently been a featured presenter on theLong Island based Radio Show "Just Relationships," discussing her methodology for working with couples.
Her Master's Degree is in Marriage and Family Therapy;
From Iona College, New Rochelle, NY. Graduated May, 2004.
Her thesis was entitled: Trauma, Attachment and the Foster Care Experience: An
Education and Support Group for Foster/Adoptive Parents.
She attained her Certification in Gestalt Therapy from the
Gestalt Center of Long Island, in conjunction with the NY State Board of Regents,
in 2008. Her Colloquium Presentation for Graduation from this in-depth 4 year
program was entitled:
Gestalt Therapy with Children; The Work, The Play, the Realm of Infinite Possibility.
Ginnie welcomes the opportunity to speak with groups, and to dovetail her presentations to the specific needs of the group she is serving. Her Gestalt training and background qualify her to devise experiential learning opportunities for participants, shifting from "hearing about" a new perspective, to experiencing its effects and benefits right in the moment. This leads to learning and growth on the deepest levels, and results in lasting change.
